Coming from Xibo, Yodeck, Screenly, OnSign TV or AbleSign? TVpilot reads your library over the official API and rebuilds your playlists with the same order and durations. From ScreenCloud, OptiSigns, PADS4 and 24 other platforms you upload your files in bulk. Nothing changes on the old platform while you switch.
Free plan, no credit card required. Paid plans from €5/month.
The Switch to TVpilot plugin is included in every plan, the free one too. It only reads from your old platform and never changes anything there.
Sign up with your email address. No credit card needed.
Under Plugins, open Switch to TVpilot and pick the platform you use now. The plugin says exactly what comes over from it.
With an automatic import: paste the platform's key and click Connect and read library. Otherwise: download your files on the old platform and upload them under Media, many at once or straight from Google Drive or Dropbox.
Pick the playlists to take over and click Start import. Files land in a folder of their own in Media; playlists keep their order and durations. Without an import, drag your slides into playlists and set durations and schedules.
Install TVpilot on each screen and pair it. Your playlists are already waiting, so the screen shows them right away. Switch one screen at a time if you like.
The import reads your library over the platform's official API. This is where you make the key, and what to know before you import.
What comes over: Photos, videos and playlists with their order and durations, web pages too. Xibo Cloud and your own CMS.
Works with Xibo Cloud and with a CMS you host yourself, as long as TVpilot can reach its address over the internet. Layouts with several regions stay behind; build those in the Designer.
What comes over: Playlists with order and durations, web pages and files Yodeck fetched from a link. Uploaded files you add yourself; TVpilot links them by name.
Yodeck hands out playlists, web pages and files it fetched from a link, but not the files you uploaded. Upload those under Media with the same names and click Check again: the import links them to the right slides.
What comes over: Photos and videos (the original files), playlists with order and durations, and web pages as web page slides.
Every Screenly plan includes the API. Your Raspberry Pi can stay: install the TVpilot player on it with one command.
What comes over: Photos and videos (the original files) and playlists with order and durations. Campaigns and apps stay behind.
Campaigns and apps stay behind. In TVpilot you schedule per slide and per screen, and live content comes from plugins.
What comes over: Photos and videos (the original files) and the playlist of every screen group and screen, with order and durations. Web apps and PDFs stay behind.
AbleSign has no separate playlists, so TVpilot builds one for every screen group and every screen outside a group. Web apps and PDFs stay behind; PDF is a normal slide type in TVpilot.
Every platform the Switch to TVpilot plugin knows, and what comes over from each. The same list you see in the dashboard.

An import needs an API you can open with your own key that hands out the original files and the playlists with their durations. Many platforms have no such API, keep it for partners, or only offer it on their most expensive plan. For those, you download your files there and upload them in TVpilot, many at once or straight from Google Drive or Dropbox.
No. The key or token is only used during the import and is not stored. You can delete it on the other platform afterwards.

No. TVpilot only reads. Your account, files and screens there stay as they are, so you can switch screen by screen and cancel the old subscription when you are ready.
