A regular Fire TV Stick is consumer hardware that happens to be great for signage. The Signage Stick is built for it: it skips the consumer home screen entirely and locks itself to one CMS app, chosen during setup from Amazon's signage console. That gives you:
Plug the stick into any HDMI screen; it shows a pairing code for console.signage.amazon.com. Claim it there with your Amazon account, that is Amazon's provisioning layer, and it works for one stick or a hundred.
During setup the console asks which signage platform the stick should run. The stick installs that CMS app and locks itself to it, no browser, no sideloading, no workarounds.
The CMS app then pairs the stick with a screen in that platform's dashboard, and from that moment the stick is a managed signage player.
After a power cut the stick boots straight back into the signage app, kiosk mode is the whole point of purpose-built hardware.
