NoviSign alternative
with a free plan
NoviSign is a mature cloud signage platform with native apps for most commercial displays, touch screen interactivity and free setup help. If you are comparing it with a NoviSign alternative, the questions are usually what you pay once the trial ends and which players you can use. Here is how TVpilot and NoviSign compare, including the cases where NoviSign is the better pick.
Free plan, no credit card required. Paid plans from €5 a month.
The short answer
NoviSign has no free plan: after a 30-day trial it charges $14, $17 or $25 per screen per month on yearly billing (Business, Business Plus and Premium). It runs natively on Android, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Windows, ChromeOS, BrightSign and the Amazon Signage Stick, and adds touch interactivity, a video wall editor, SSO and an Open API on Premium. TVpilot is free for 1 screen and charges per plan: €5 a month for 3 screens, €2 per extra screen, with the Raspberry Pi as a first-class player. NoviSign is the stronger pick for native commercial-display players and touch kiosks; TVpilot is the cheaper one for a small fleet.

What really differs
Price after the trial
NoviSign starts with a 30-day free trial and then charges per screen. Business is $14 per screen per month on yearly billing, Business Plus $17 and Premium $25, and paying monthly costs more because the yearly plan saves 10%. Ten screens on Business come to $140 a month.
TVpilot is free for 1 screen, forever, with no trial clock. Starter is €5 a month with 3 screens included and €2 for each extra screen, so 10 screens cost €19 a month; Pro is €29 a month with 10 screens and every Premium feature. Prices exclude VAT and you can pay monthly.
Players: native apps or a Raspberry Pi
NoviSign's player list is one of its strengths: native apps for Android, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Windows and ChromeOS, plus BrightSign and the Amazon Signage Stick, with hardware partners such as Samsung, LG, Philips and Sony. If you have commercial displays with a built-in player, NoviSign can usually run on them directly. The Raspberry Pi is not on its list.
TVpilot runs on the Amazon Signage Stick, on any Raspberry Pi with one install command (kiosk mode, a self-healing watchdog and HDMI-CEC TV power scheduling), on a Fire TV Stick with the TVpilot app, on Android TV and Chromecast with Google TV through a browser, and on any smart TV or computer that opens a player URL. It has no native Tizen or webOS app.
Features: interactive screens against live business data
NoviSign includes touch-screen interactivity and offline playback on every plan. Business Plus adds Studio AI, Canva, Power BI and Tableau, a video wall editor, IoT and RFID events and proof of play; Premium adds SSO with SAML, an Open API, publishing approvals, audit logs and a dedicated account manager. Partners can run a fully white-labelled instance.
TVpilot covers playlists, per-slide schedules with expiry dates, a calendar per screen, a Designer and AI Studio, plus live plugins that are rare elsewhere: bol.com, Mollie, Moneybird, SumUp and Picqer dashboards, NS departures, ANWB traffic, Buienradar and Kiyoh reviews, next to Shopify, Stripe, Google and Trustpilot reviews. Video walls up to 4×4 and proof of play are on paid plans; approvals, your own branding and a partner portal come with Business.

Moving from NoviSign to TVpilot
NoviSign has no public API that hands out your files, so there is no automatic import. Download your images and videos from NoviSign and upload them in TVpilot under Media, many at once or straight from Google Drive or Dropbox. It takes a few minutes; PDFs become one slide per page.
Then build your playlists and pair each screen once with its claim code. An Amazon Signage Stick that ran NoviSign can run TVpilot: choose TVpilot as the CMS in the Amazon Signage app.
