Digital signage software alternatives, compared honestly

Looking for an alternative to the signage platform you use now? Each comparison puts TVpilot next to one platform: what it costs per month for 1 to 25 screens, what the free plan includes, which players it runs on, how you move your content over, and in which cases the other platform is the better choice.

Switch without starting over

Bring your content with you

The Switch to TVpilot plugin is included in every plan, the free one too. Under Plugins, open Switch to TVpilot, pick the platform you use now and the plugin says exactly what comes over. It only reads from your old platform and never changes anything there.

Automatic import

From Xibo, Yodeck, Screenly, OnSign TV and AbleSign: paste a key from that platform and TVpilot copies your photos and videos and rebuilds your playlists with the same order and durations.

Import coming

From Revel Digital and Lumicast: the public API hands out files and playlists, so an import is possible. Until it is built, upload your files yourself.

Upload your files

From 25 other platforms: download your files there and upload them under Media, many at once or straight from Google Drive or Dropbox. It takes a few minutes.

Screens never move by themselves: install TVpilot on each player and pair it once with its claim code. A Raspberry Pi, an Amazon Signage Stick or a Fire TV Stick can stay. Step by step: switching to TVpilot.
